I want to be a student body president not only to make changes for our school dances, school activities, and fundraising, but to also bring in those unheard voices in our school community. If I become a student body president I want to encourage attendance for sports games and academic events in our school. I’d like the school spirit to become bigger and better so it would motivate people to come out and enjoy the fun. Not many people participate or listen to our leaders in our school, and they feel the need to go against because they are belittled, so my goal is to help and support them and make them feel listened too and involved in everything we do. With all that combined, it will encourage our school spirit and increase the attendance for our sporting events as well as academic events.
What skills, talents, expertise, or things will you add to SBO?
I’ve been a student body officer for four years, and I understand the stress, hard work, and commitment, that comes within the job. I will bring in my experience and knowledge for dances, fundraisers, school activities, decorating, and assemblies, I will also bring in my ideas and thoughts. I would like to add a requirement of once per month the WHOLE Student Body Officers will get together and go to an event to support our school and to represent as well. I’d like to get more involved in clubs and academic events as well.
What ideas do you have for SBO or for UMA for 2020-2021?
I have a few ideas for SBO/UMA upcoming year. Some of the ideas I have in mind are: Field days, Bake sales, fundraising ideas, school-wide activities day, decorating monthly around the halls and outside of school, ideas for food to sell during games, Venues for dances, school wide cleanup day. Those are just some of the ideas I have in mind for the upcoming school year.
